High-Quality Hex Nuts

High-Quality Custom & Standard Hex Nuts

What is a Hex Nut?

Hex nuts feature an interior thread designed to be screwed onto a hex bolt with a matching thread. The use of a hex nut provides a strong, secure joint with the bolt that is highly capable of withstanding heavy wear, stress, and strain. As a result, hex nuts and bolts are the primary fastening choice in countless industrial applications that require a reliable hold under constant movement and heavy loads. Common uses include heavy machinery, engines, motors, industrial equipment, and commercial furniture.

Comprehensive Hex Nut Inventory

Since 1988, U-Bolt-It has been a leading distributor and manufacturer of high-quality hex nuts for all major industries. We stock an extensive inventory from the top manufacturers in the industry, including:

  • Standard Hex Nuts: The six-sided hexagonal shape is the standard used in all industries to securely fasten items. Generally hand-tightened or tightened with a wrench, they can be used with bolts of all styles and sizes.
  • Jam Nuts: Designed to press against another nut and acting as a locknut to prevent loosening, jam nuts are manufactured at only half the height of a standard hex nut.
  • Kep Nuts (K-Lock Nuts): A pre-assembled nut and free-spinning washer that makes product assembly much more convenient. When tightened, the teeth of the lock washer dig securely into the item’s surface.
  • L9 Hex Nuts: Featuring incredible tensile strength and special features that control torque-tension characteristics, L9 nuts allow for maximum holding power in high clamp loads. Ideal for automotive, aerospace, and construction applications.
  • Slotted Hex Nuts: Designed to be used with a cotter pin that passes through a drilled hole in the mating bolt or stud, effectively preventing the nut from ever loosening.
  • Tee Nuts (Blind Nuts): Ideal for structural assembly and the manufacture of products to easily fasten wood, plastic, or composite materials.
  • Nylon Insert Locknuts (Nyloc): Used in applications involving heavy vibration or motion, these locknuts resist loosening and can be reused up to fifteen times. Note: Nyloc nuts should not be used in high-temp environments or harsh chemical exposures.
  • Wing Nuts: Designed with two large metal wings, these are excellent for hand-turning applications where frequent disassembly and reassembly are required.
  • Rod Couplings: Elongated nuts used to seamlessly join two externally threaded parts of equal thread diameter and pitch, including rods or pipes.
