High-Quality USS Washers

What is a USS Washer?

A USS (United States Standard) washer is a highly versatile, flat circular fastener featuring a centrally located, precision-machined hole. Originally developed to meet broad manufacturing standards, their slightly larger outer diameter, inner diameter, and thicker profile compared to SAE washers make them the universal choice for general-purpose fastening. Manufactured from premium, industrial-grade materials, USS flat washers are expertly engineered to meet the massive majority of industrial manufacturing, heavy machinery maintenance, and commercial repair applications.

Mechanical Advantages and Industrial Applications

Because they are designed as the ultimate general-purpose load distributor, USS washers provide several critical mechanical advantages across all heavy industries:

• Broad Load Distribution: The wider outer diameter (OD) expertly spreads extreme clamping force over a significantly larger surface area, actively preventing material crushing or dangerous fastener pull-through on softer substrates like wood or plastic.
• Universal Compatibility: Engineered to standard USS specifications, their slightly looser inner diameter (ID) tolerance makes them exceptionally adaptable and easy to install over a massive variety of standard structural bolts and heavy-duty screws.
• Maintenance and Repair: Because of their highly robust size and standardized thickness, they are the absolute industry standard for general construction, heavy manufacturing repairs, and routine structural maintenance where high strength and broad surface coverage are required.
